W-League Kicks Off: Melbourne Victory start strong

The Melbourne Victory Women’s team had a better result on the weekend, with a 2-0 win over the Central Coast Mariners.

I didn’t have the chance to see the game, but it sounds like the women put on a strong, dominant performance. Two second-half goals from Brittany Timko and Rebecca Tegg ensured the win for Melbourne.

Did any of you manage to catch the game? I’d love to hear what you thought!

I went along and had a look. It was quite entertaining. I think once these teams start playing a few more competitive games they will improve. Pity they are not the curtain raiser more often.

I also think what may have put people off to go along and watch was the early kick-off time. When the game finished, you had to kill an hour or so until the main game came around.
