Moss! What A disappointment! first game of the season for him was a shocker (even if the first goal of that game was offside)..he aint that good…hopefully mitch gets a chance…
before i say this i would just like to say that archie thompson is my favourite player…but i would just liketo say why has he got to play with the ball, why doesnt he just kick it…everyone was saying that he will be the player to watch this season…sad to say this but what’s he doing dribbling the ball when he can take a shot for goal…lets hope he builds his confidence and just shoots the ball instead of playing with it..

Good point about Kemp, Philip. Still, I don’t think he was playing as wide as he usually does, given that we’d roughly shifted to a back three in the second half.

I like Berger, but agree that his final touch lets him down. He puts in all the hard yards running down the flank, making it through the defense — but then he fizzles out. Compare that for example with what Ward pulled off for the first goal — he intercepts the ball, runs down the flank and crosses at the right time. Berger, watch that replay. Timing needs to improve.

Kemp looked better in the second half because he moved to his natural outside defender position on the wing – in the first half as central defender next to Vargas (with Ward taking the wide position) he was lost.

If we have to play Brebs I would prefer Kemp outside, defending and attacking up the wing, Brebs next to Vargas for some defensive steel and put Ward into midfield. I am a big Ward critic most of the time but he is more likely to be creative in midfield than Brebner.

Berger gave 110% but someone needs to tell him to look up when he runs at defenders. He puts his head down and usually runs himself into a brick wall or finishes with a poor cross because he isn’t looking. It seems he runs without knowing what he is ultimately trying to achieve.
